Dr. Joseph Subak, Dr. Jami Hager and Dr. Melissa Spoula are dedicated to serving your complete eye care needs. Every one of our staff is trained in the latest techniques to serve you. We work with closely with you and our staff to diagnose any issues and prepare preventative eye care programs tailored to your specific needs.
Dr. Joseph Subak has been in private practice since 1986. He is a behavioral and developmental optometrist. Behavioral optometrists spend years in post graduate education to master complex visual problems. Dr.Subak holds membership in the American Optometric Association, Illinois Optometric Association, Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society, Optometric Extension Program Foundation, and the College of Optometrists in Vision Development.
Dr. Subak has lectured to numerous organizations, groups, and educators on vision and vision related learning problems.He has been called as an expert witness in vision by the Attorney Gerenal's office in Illinois. He continues to provide the best possible care for his patients by keeping current with the technological advancements in the profession. He was the first doctor in Illinois to acquire the Optomap retinal scanning laser. He was one of the first twenty doctors in Illinois to be certified in corneal refractive therapy.
Dr. Subak has lived in the community for many years. He is very happily married and is blessed with two wonderful children. He strongly believes in giving back and donates his time and services throughout the area.
Dr. Jami Hager is a graduate of Indiana University School
of Optometry with a Doctorate of Optometry degree with High Honors. She
also completed her undergraduate work at Indiana University with a major
in Biology and a minor in Social Sciences in Medicine.
Dr. Hager
holds membership in the American Optometric Association, Illinois
Optometric Association, and Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society.
Dr.
Hager has been an integral part of our team for over 8 years. She is
dedicated to her patients and prides herself on getting to know her
patients and taking great care of each and every one of them.
She
likes to spend her time traveling with her husband and two children!
Dr. Melissa Spoula is a graduate of the Illinois College
of Optometry with a Doctorate of Optometry degree with high honors. She
obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of
Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, with a major in Molecular and Cellular
Biology and minor in Chemistry.
While attending ICO, Dr. Spoula was
a member of the Tomb and Key and Beta Sigma Kappa Honors societies. Her
clinical experiences include emphasis in specialty contact lens fitting
and ocular disease.
Dr. Spoula grew up in the western suburbs of
Chicago. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and
two children.
She is excited to be part of a team that provides
exceptional eye care to all patients
